Description
The side flap of the early Vespa 50 / 90 cars is considerably smaller than that of the later models, as they were first introduced with the 125cc Nuova, which was introduced in 1965. Here the access to the generally already quite cramped space of the engine compartment has been made much more spacious.
The cars with the small engine hatch have been produced in two different versions. The early first series uses a lid that can be attached to the inside of the lid with vertical welded pins.
The following second series has horizontal arms on the inside of the lid with which it functions as an actual flap and not only as a removable cover.
This item is suitable for vehicles of the first series, identifiable by the following frame numbers:
NOTE: The dampers are stored industrially in wire baskets by the manufacturer. Therefore the side flaps may have small dents or scratches. Since they are only provided with a transport primer as rust protection, they should be thoroughly sanded and possibly smoothed before painting.
NOTE: Unpainted article with transport primer. We recommend to remove it before painting. Scratches in the primer do not constitute a defect.
