Exhaust YASUNI CITY 16 with E mark.
Thanks to the restriction the CITY 16 has the much desired E-mark! The restriction is done by the well known way (washer fixed by two welding points into the exhaust bend). Additionally there is a taper in the muffler. This should be banned to the bin if you are searching for more power. Indeed the E-mark is only valid with the restrictions fitted.
The quality, machining and overall appearance is very good like with all the YASUNIs. The passage from the main body to the muffler is reinforced and sealed by an O-ring. The bend is made from separate segments and adds a real lot to the good performance of the pipe.
Once the restriction has been removed the CITY 16 becomes a very sweet performing exhaust. No longer road legal then, it revs like bollocks without loosen bottom end grunt. The very short resonance length provides in conjunction with the well elaborated main body makes it a nice weapon for hard acceleration and a very high top speed.
When some of the direct competitors are run out of stem the CITY 16 is full of juice. If you are going to create a fast and reliable Racer the CITY 16 is the right choice. A well setup mid-race cylinder kit fitted with the CITY 16 and a tiny 17.5 mm carb through a modified standard air box produces more than 14 hp at 10.000 rpm. The higher revs not only provide a nice improvement top speed wise, they also require some slug tuning. So you will need lighter weights and the clutch operation has to be at higher revs.
