Description
The PM 19 Evolution exhaust comes from none other than tuning legend Paul Melici.
The workmanship is PM typical. Finest MIG welds and a beautifully crafted muffler are as natural here as the excellent fit and the hydraulically pressed cones.
The systems fit with spare wheel and main stand, unfortunately not with wide tires.
The PM 19 was specially designed for the Vespa T5 engines, whose cylinders have a much higher performance potential than a normal PX125 due to the much larger flushing surfaces.
The PM 19 EVO is, like its predecessor PM 19, very heavy on revs and does not shy away from five-digit speed ranges. The lower rpm range is rather low in torque so that an extension of the original transmission ratio would only be recommended in connection with a tuning cylinder like the 152cc Polini or 172cc Malossi.
Its successful, light mechanical construction makes it a workhorse in everyday life as well.
The sound is quite pleasant, but depending on the cylinder, head angle and exhaust shape it is quite different. The basic volume is however clearly above that of an original exhaust.
m Compared to the systems from JL it is somewhat brighter / more tinny in the sound, completely after the model of a Motocross exhaust system. In the lower rpm range it is suitable for urban use without any problems.
The PM systems are available in untreated sheet metal or chrome-plated.
The untreated systems are supplied oiled and should be protected against the brown plague with our heat-resistant exhaust paint or a galvanic coating before starting up.
Conclusion: Light, noble and suitable for everyday use exhaust system with a good bite and a beautiful classic two-stroke sound!
